A popular temple dedicated to Goddess Mansa Devi is located in the “sacred” city of Haridwar in Uttarakhand.  This temple is situated on the “Bilwa Parvat” on the Sivalik Hills. 1. By train:

Haridwar possesses its own railway station. The Haridwar Railway Station is well connected to all major cities and towns in India.

2. By road:

There are a number of bus services that connect Haridwar to major cities in the country such as Delhi, Jaipur, Gurgaon, Manali etc.

3. By air:

The nearest airport to Haridwar is located in Dehradun. The Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is well connected to major cities in the country. Taxi services are available from this airport to Haridwar.

c. Religious significance:

The deity worshipped in this temple is known as “Mansa” a form of Shakti and is said to have been created from the mind of the powerful Lord Shiva. According to a popular legend Goddess Mansa fulfills the wishes of every sincere devotee. Hence this goddess has been named Mansa which when literally translated in English means “wish”. This goddess is also considered to be the sister of a serpent called “Naga Vasuki”.
